The Physical Activity for Healthy Confident Kids guidelines, produced by the Ministry of Education, are supported by SPARC (Sport and Recreation New Zealand). They also contribute to the Mission-On campaign.

Mission-On is a package of initiatives aimed at improving the lifestyles of young New Zealanders by targeting improved nutrition and increased physical activity. The outcomes sought are improved health, high educational achievements, and a valued Kiwi lifestyle.

The guidelines explain the purpose of physical education and are supported by how-to examples in the online appendices.
